The Education Ministry will make it compulsory for Year One
pupils to take up either Arabic, Mandarin or Tamil as an elective
subject. This could be implemented as early as next week.
Why so sudden? Next week. Why can't the Ministry of Education announced
earlier? This shock announcement might put some parents in a dilemma, like
what'll happen if there are not enough of Tamil or Mandarin teachers?
Oh the Year One pupils are forced to study Arabic, issit?
Or like some parents contemplating of pulling their kids out from the schools?
