morning allowed the appeal by the Kinabatangan MP to
set aside his one month jail sentence meted out by the
Gombak Timur Lower Shariah Court on May 19 following
his guilty plea to marrying Zizie, 32, without the
registrar's consent.
According to the Selangor chief Syariah judge Mukhyuddin Ibrahim, thelower Syariah judge had failed to consider the implications of
imprisonment to the appellant's family, career and good
reputation. Huhh!
And this is most baffling reason spewed out by the turned-around court
"If he (Bung) was jailed, his wives and children would
come by hardship and indirectly they would be affected,
possibly giving rise to social problems."
What?? You mean to say that VIP CANNOT/ MUST NOT be locked up becos
their familiy members will suffer hardship? And those hardships will give rise
to social problems to the community at large?
OMG! What kinda judgement is this?
