If you have scanned thru the main papers on the Merdeka
celebrations, you most probably agreed that they are the same
kind of celebrations that we see yearly. But one particular piece
that caught my attention, should I say 'out of the box' was
train passengers celebrating on board a KTM express train!
How nice , the coach was turned into a dance floor with
the senior citizens moving to joget and poco-poco tunes,
cheered by KTM staff.
Another round of celebrations took place at the
Gemas station, with passengers singing and dancing as
they waited to board the return trip.
This is real Merdeka celebration by my standard, no formality,
no protocol, really enjoy and have fun but then again...
another news that somehow make me think how should we
celebrate our Merdeka Day!
That some 200 youngsters were caught by Selangor (Selangor again )
moral guardians for immoral behaviour while celebrating
Merdeka Day! According to one official 'The operation was held
to instil awareness among Muslim youths to lead their
lives according to the teachings of the religion,
including when celebrating Merdeka, which is not just
for fun and to be merry,”
I'm not too sure I comprehend by 'immoral behaviour' while
celebrating Merdeka, and also ,the celebration by those on board
of KTM train be considered as 'immoral' too, since there were
singing and dancing , they were having fun and merry, and those
religious guys might say' singing allowed but not dancing during
the holy month! Now go lah arrest those train passengers!
I just wondered.
