BRAIN DRAIN

Reading this brilliant student's success story is so impress and really envy
his achievements and awards.

Top student in his final-year law examinations at Cambridge
University.

Scored the “Slaughter and May” prize given by the university’s
Law Faculty
– an award given to those who achieve the best
overall performance in the final-year law examinations.

He bagged include The Norton Rose Prize for Commercial Law

The Clifford Chance Prize for European Union Law

The Herbert Smith Prize for Conflict of Laws.

Then almost till the tail-end of his story, Tan Zhongshan dropped a bomb or
bluntly put, a knock-out punch on the face of Malaysian government
“I will also join the Singapore Legal Service in January,” said Tan,
who was awarded an Asean scholarship by Singapore’s Ministry of
Education

This is one of many, many thousands of brain-drain happenings and Singapore
as always are a step ahead of us in almost everything including grabbing our
TOP students!

What a shame, and oh yes, we do have a Talent Corp to woo back
some 70,000 Malaysians working overseas

But DAMMIT! I come to understand that this Talent Corp as yet to be
implemented!
