SAME OLD TRICK AGAIN

In the last few by-elections, PM Najib had done vote buying but of course
they, the BN government or MACC would denied any wrongdoings and at
the Kerdau up coming by-election was also no exception.

PM Najib declared:“We don’t buy votes,
Banyak cantik, that BN government don't buy votes, they don't cheat, they
ain't corrupt an they do make an honest living! BUT in the next breath he
said:
but if you support us we can increase the allocation
tomorrow or later. But show support for Barisan Nasional
first.”

Wah, this is like 'I scratch your back and you scratch mine thing, no?
Then how about this line that PM said
“I don’t want people to accuse me of buying votes if I
approve anything bigger,” he told Chinese, Indian and
Orang Asli voters in
Kerdau Town here.
The PM had already allocated RM400,000 for a hall in Kampong Seri
Kerdau during his campaign.

So anything below RM400,000 is NOT vote buying, issit?

THEN HOW, PDRM?

Latest update: Selangor Police chief praises

You must have read about the gusty lady who kena robbed of her
handbag then went chasing after the 2 robbers in her car that
ended with 1 robber killed and another injured.

And today Malay Mail reports that the Ampang Jaya district police
said that
The case is being investigated under Section 395 of
the
Penal Code for gang robbery and also Section 41
of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving.

Yes the injured robber be charged for gang robbery, okay, no problem with
that but to charge/ investigated the lady for reckless driving? Huhh!

Then how la PDRM? Could the police kindly enlighten us, what must
we the ordinary rakyat do in a similar situation like Siti Aishah?

That even we are robbed, we can't pursue them in our cars becos we'll
be charged for reckless driving?

That we are allowed only to chase these bad guys on foot while they
get away on their motorbikes?

Or we are NOT allowed to drive at 90mph to chase robbers becos it's
a residential area?

Or MUST we call 999 for help, sit down on the kerb, do nothing but
curse and swearing at ourselves while waiting for a patrol car to arrive
and God knows when?

DAMMIT
! PDRM go ahead and charge Siti Aishah who should be
commended for her bravery and wanting to do justice!

WHAT'S UP?

This pic below appeared in The Star under Thumbnail section that won a
prize a day ago.

It shows a car sticking on a wall. Now the question is not why but rather
how?

I mean how did they manage to stick a car on the wall? That's all I wanna
know. I can't figure it out really, most probably is bcoz my top has got too
much grey and I guess photoshop was NOT involved here.

Anybody got any clue?

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A GOVERNMENT PROJECT AND A PRIVATE PROJECT

This is a private project of a sidewalk completed within 3 months with retail
stalls up and running since yesterday.

Notice the high sophisticated roofing complete with flooring , lightings
speakers and CCTV cameras all fully done.

Now, compare a government pedestrian walk project carried out
by DBKL.

A 300 meters pedestrian walk which started almost simultaneously,
with low roofing ( no heavy machinery like crane needed here), light
fittings were installed but still NOT functional

Oh yes just to point out that the walls and the concrete railings WERE
NOT done by them. They only done the roofing, flooring and the lightings
It's already way passed 3 months now and sadly they have yet to complete
the job!

WALK THE TALK LIKE SINGAPORE, CAN?

Actually, I don't care whether Malaysia registered 7.2% economic growth
was the highest achieved over the last 10 years or Malaysia’s 7.2 per
cent economic growth last year was outperformed by its neighbours, it
really doesn't bother me that much.

DAMMIT! Whether Malaysia got economic growth or not, I still have to
struggle and work damn bloody hard to make sure what I make end of the
day, is enough to pay my shoplot monthly high rental and my staff salaries.

So reading PM Najib's bragging or Anwar's rebuttal doesn't excite me at all,
or deserves any form of celebrations but, but oh yes, IF PM Najib can do like
what Singapore government does, then it's a different story altogether it'll
definitely bring me some cheers and maybe a great relief to many average
household in Malaysia.

Don't you think so?

WHAT LA TUN!

At first, Tun Dr. Mahathir said he did not call for the Operation Lalang in
1987 then he also claimed he suggested that ISA be abolished.

In other words, Mahathir thought ISA was not good or suitable or whatever
but in today report Tun says

“This ISA is good for us, look at Ibrahim, after he was in
and out, he became good,” Dr Mahathir added.

Oh damn good eh? So much so that this Ibrahim Ali 'became good' but
good for whom ah? Became good for ALL Malaysians? Or for his own
race?

And coincidentally, I just read another con job that happened to someone.

MAXIS - MUST READ!

by Goo Hong Weng on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 11:09am

Dear All

I cannot stop myself from sharing this with all of you.

Its all started when I received a call from someone claiming that he was from Maxis and he asked me to shutdown my phone for 2 hours for 3g update to take place. As I was rushing for a meeting, I did not question and shutdown my cell phone.

After 45 minutes I felt very suspicious since the caller did not even introduce his name. I quickly turned on my cell phone and I received several calls from my family members and the others were from the number that had called me earlier - 3954380.

I called my parents and I was shocked that they sounded very worried asking me whether I am safe. My parents told me that they had received a call from someone claiming that they had me with them and asking for money to let me free. The call was so real and my parents even heard 'my voice' crying out loud asking for help. My parent was at the bank waiting for next call to proceed for money transfer. I told my parents that I am safe and asked them to lodge a police report.

Right after that I received another call from the guy asking me to shutdown my cell phone for another 1 hour which I refused to do and hung up. They keep calling my cell phone until the battery had run down. I myself lodged a police report and I was informed by the officer that there were many such scams reported. MOST of the cases reported that the victim had already transferred the money! And it is impossible to get back the money.

Be careful as this kind of scam might happened to any of us!!! Those guys are so professional and very convincing during calls. If you are asked to shut down your cell phone for updates by the service provider, ASK AROUND! Your family or friends might receive the same call.

Be Safe and Stay Alert!

Please pass around to your family and friends!

LET'S DO SOMETHING FOR EGYPTIANS

Dear friends,

Mubarak may have stolen $70 billion from Egyptians -- one third of their national income! Getting it back will require immediate action from governments around the world. Sign the emergency petition to freeze Mubarak's assets now, and then forward this message!
Mubarak is out -- but he may take unimaginable wealth out with him. Estimates of his stolen fortune range as high as $70 billion, more than a third of the entire Egyptian economy.

Time is running out for world governments to freeze Mubarak’s assets before they disappear into a maze of obscure bank accounts -- like so many other dictators' stolen fortunes. Switzerland has already frozen his finances, and some EU ministers have offered help -- but without an immediate global outcry, action may come too slowly to stop the Mubarak billions from vanishing.

Let's call on leaders of all nations to ensure that Egypt's money is returned to the people. Our petition will be delivered, if we reach 500,000 signatures, to G20 finance ministers when they meet this Friday in Paris. Let's add our names now and spread the word!

http://www.avaaz.org/en/mubaraks_fortune/?vl

Millions of Egyptians live on less than $2 per day -- yet experts say that corruption costs Egypt more than $6 billion in public money per year. The Mubaraks themselves have benefited massively from a web of business deals, crony-capitalist privatization schemes, and state-guaranteed investments throughout Mubarak's 30 years as president. Estimates of their wealth run from a "mere" $2-3 billion to the staggering $70 billion figure, which would make Hosni Mubarak the world's richest man. And 25 senior government officials are already under investigation for amassing fortunes above $1 billion while serving under him.

But the days may finally be over when corrupt rulers can escape with their fortunes intact. The new United Nations Convention Against Corruption explicitly calls for the return of corruptly-gained assets to the countries of origin, and Egypt's military government has already asked European Union governments to freeze Mubarak's fortune. The key question now is whether action will come fast enough: all the laws in the world won't help if the Mubarak billions are shuffled out of sight before authorities can seize them.

Our voices as citizens can help the people of Egypt make good on the promise of their revolution. Join the call for Egyptian wealth to go back to the people of Egypt:

http://www.avaaz.org/en/mubaraks_fortune/?vl

As millions of Egyptians risked -- and even gave -- their lives for democracy, there was little that we around the world could do beyond send our hopes and solidarity. But now we have a special responsibility: to do our utmost to restore the national property stolen by a dictatorship that our own governments tolerated for far too long.

The people of Egypt are ready now to build a new nation. Let's ensure that they regain the resources that were taken from them, as they create the future that few dared to dream possible.

With hope,

Ben, Alex, Ricken, Mia, Rewan, David, and the whole Avaaz team

TIGER WOODS IN TROUBLE AGAIN

Remember sometimes back in December when Tiger Woods hit a tree he
almost screwed up his golfing career and ruined his family? Here.

Then last Sunday, in the Dubai Desert Classic 2011, Tiger Woods got himself
into trouble yet again, but luckily he will be fined for his inconsideration.

I ain't no golfer and know next to nothing about professional golf ethics or
code of coduct as I was rather surprised that spitting was not allowed in
a golf course, though I must admit what Tiger Woods did was quite 'disturbing'.

IS GE12 A JINX?

Even before the 15th by-election in Merlimau could start on March 6,
another by-election the 16th so far, is on the stand by! Never in the history
has Malaysia have soooo many by-elections.

Just wonder if bomoh could call the rain off for a football match or for some
important events, why can't the authorities engage these so called 'spiritual
gurus' to stop these by-election thingy from happening again at least till
PM Najib calls for next General Election?

Why not bomoh?

NEW RESTAURANT IN TOWN

Saw this newly opened restaurant around my working place

Nothing wrong or funny nor weird about this makan place except
the signage which practically caught my attention.

77
ES TELER JUARA INDONESIA

Now, what does it say or what does it mean?

Am sure those of you who know Bahasa Melayu and literate has no
problem with the figure 77 and Juara Indonesia, right?
Yea, 77 is a name and juara Indonesia is Indonesia Champion but
how about ES TELER? And how do you pronounce them?

Any takers?

Well to kill a curiosity cat, I sibuk2 a bit la and asked an Indonesian
friend. And this what I understand.

77
is the name of the restoran restaurant, you know like 7 -11
ES is ice or Ais in BM (ES pronounce as S)
TELER is Mix fruit ( TELER pronounce as TEHLER)

Ha ha, funny or not with the pronunciations?? Okay now let me
show you their signature drink ES TELER

It looks impressive on its menu so I ordered 3 take- away of ES
TELER

I was given 3 ES TELER drink using some lousy cheap looking
paper cups!
On reaching my office, we found out we have to stir our drink with
straws but heck, no plastic spoon or stirrer! DAMN.

Anyway, the drink is nothing to drool about really, sweet maybe
too sweet for me and basically consists of various fruits like
coconut, lemon and avocado. ES TELER comes with a pricey tag
RM 6 per cup.No thanks, not another cup of ES TELER again.

Perhaps I might try one of these some days

A nice refreshing Indonesia cendol for a change

Or a cappuccino that might give you a new different taste altogether
unlike from San Francisco coffee.

Frankly with pricey drinks, I have to think twice before my next
patronage to this so called 77 ES TELER.

PLEASE NOT YOU AGAIN, TUN.

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad says that if he has another shot to be the PM
of Malaysia again, he can improve development in Malaysia as he still has
'many ideas'.

“I have many ideas that can help to develop the country,
especially to achieve racial unity
.

Sigh, sigh, in other words,Tun you must be the PM again only then Malaysia
can achieve better racial unity, issit? Yes, we remember the harmony among
the people was good during your 22 years of premiership but since then,
the unity among Malaysians till today need much to be desired.

Sad isn't it? When Tun was PM, he created unity but when he was no more
in government, he trying to create disunity like ' Tanah Melayu and Malaysia
belong to Malay lah sort of thing, Why, Tun?

MORAL POLICE AGAIN

Whenever Valentine's Day is near, that bugger from PAS, Youth chief
Nasrudin Hasan Tantawi will chameleon himself into a 'moral police' for our
youths in the country.

The last time, he was against our youth celebrating Valentine's Day becoz
according to him, Valentine's Day encouraged free sex! Huh!

So for this coming Feb 14 occasion, Nasrudin Hasan Tantawi said the
Kedah,
Kelantan and Selangor governments have directed all local
authorities to work closely with police and Rela in order to carry
out operations to check immoral activities during Valentine’s Day.

This is because pre-emptive measures need to be taken to promote
sin-free lifestyle,
he said.

To promote sin-free lifestyle? What kind of life is that?
Just wonder if any living Malaysians having a 'sin free' lifestyle in their
whole life? I mean, take a look around you in Malaysia for instance so much
corruption lah, sodomy , raping cases and whatnots.

We even read about 'holy pious people' like priests got involved with sex
scandals all around the world. So honestly, can people live a sin free
lifestyle? I really doubt.

DAMMIT! Am really curious to know what kinda of lifestyle that Nasrudin
fella leads in his entire life so far?

CONNED BY AN EGYPTIAN

Many years ago, a friend of mine went makan angin in Egypt with his
girlfriend. The very next thing they did after arriving was to go camel riding.

They asked for 2 camels and off they went sight-seeing on camel backs.
Nice and enjoying themselves then an Egyptian man riding a horse came up to
them and offered to take photo for them. Sound good and friendly, yah.

So with the help from the Egyptian you know the click, cluck sound, Joe my
friend was able to get down from his camel and climbed up again together with
his sweetheart mounted on one camel.

The Egyptian guy got down from his horse, took Joe 's camera and started
clicking away on the happy couple. Then, after the photography session was
over, came the NIGHTMARE!!

The local cari makan Egyptian guy asked for payment for work done!

How much?
50 US dollars!

What? 50 dollars? Nope we are NOT paying.

Okay, very well, you can stay up there on the camel and I take
your expensive
camera as my pay!

Joe trying his luck to get down from the camel with click, cluck, cluck click
but it didn't work, as if the bloody camel would only took orders from local
Egyptians and not from tourists. No matter what or how Joe did, the bloody
camel just refused to listen or be coaxed to let them down.

So what to do next? Both Joe and his friend were unable to dismount from
the stubborn camel, and with the Egyptian con guy holding Joe's high price
camera on the ground, demanding US50 BEFORE you can get back your
camera!

Joe's friend Annie finally said: We have been duped, dude!

SOME SCARY NEWS

There's a report that some medical schools are cutting corners in lowering
prerequisites for students that some are known to accept SPM-level
students with the minimum requirement of Bs in sciences.

Scary isn't it? Bs in Science also can become medical students! Obviously
this is NOT based on abilities, and if end of the day, these students
become doctors then God knows what will happen to those patients who
come under these doctors' stethoscopes!

And coincidentally, there is another very scary news one too, that a woman
in Kota Baru is now suffering from skin disease after taking some medication
prescribed from a government hospital.

Apparently, after taking the medication, the skin of Normah Husin, 47,
is peeling off while her face is swollen and the condition makes it
difficult for her to open her eyes and mouth and walk.

Doc, doc, before you take my pressure, may I see your medical qualifications
please?

DAMMIT! Is that too much to ask, if my life is at stake?

A FEW HELPFUL CALLS

I remember when Rosmah was going around visiting some Middle East
countries sometime back, critics were quick to say that she was wasting
taxpayers money lah so much so that Ras Yatim had to come out to
Rosmah's defence.

Now with the students rescue operation in Egypt, I guess Rosmah's Saudi
connections comes in handy indeed.

Rosmah said she had also made some calls because she could not
stand by and watch the students suffer “as some of them had
nothing to eat”. “As a mother, how could I not act? I feel for all
the mothers whose
children are studying there. I am glad I could
help.

“Some of the Malaysian officials, aware of my Saudi connections,
also asked me to assist. My husband was busy so that was why I

helped,” she said. “I could not afford to take any risk by waiting
as every minute
matters in a situation like this.Waiting a minute
could cost lives.

That’s why I made the call to the Saudis,” she said. “Of course,
I reported to him (Najib) what I did later.”

I guess Rosmah has shut up some critics foul mouths with just a few calls
to Saudi. Haha

PENANG'S SUCCESS

The achievements enjoyed by the current Penang
government are
due to efforts carried out by the Barisan
Nasional (BN) state government previously, Minister in
the Prime Minister’s Department Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon
said today.

Really? Then I must say the DAP or rather the current PR
government in Penang are a damn lucky government that they
had inherited a successful administration from the BN!

If BN government was good and administrating the state well, then
why the hell those Penangites kicked Gerakan and BN out in the
March 2008 General Election?

Maybe those people in Penang were not in the right state of their
minds or Koh Tsu Koon is trying to claim some credits ? Or we're
witnessing a sore loser in this guy?

SIGH, RESPECT NO MORE

I was one of the many Malaysians who admire and have great respect for
what you have done for the country when you were the Prime Minister for
22 years but sorry lah not anymore. As I tend to agreed with the words of
Capt.Iskandar Dzulkarnain

Today, you are championing Malay Rights. You are angry that
Non-Malays are questioning these rights. You are also angry that
Malays themselves are questioning these so-called Rights. You
want the other races to acknowledge that the Dominant Malays are
the rightful heirs to this country called Malaysia. What an
embarrassment to us Malays.

Read here from Capt.Iskandar Dzulkarnain

Friday, February 4, 2011

WHAT ELSE TO YOU WANT, DR M?

As a Malaysian, it's saddened to hear from an ex-premier that Malaysia
belongs to the Malays and other races are expected to respect
Malay sovereignty.
If that is the case then our schoolchildren of other races shouldn't be allowed
to sing the national anthem- Negara Ku during school assembly.
Negaraku, tanah tumpahnya darahku,
Rakyat hidup, bersatu dan maju,
Rahmat bahagia, Tuhan kurniakan,
Raja kita, selamat bertakhta.
Rahmat bahagia, Tuhan kurniakan,
Raja kita, selamat bertakhta.

We sing our Negaraku, tanah tumpahnya darahku, yet you
still not considered Malaysia belongs to ALL MALAYSIANS?

We sing Raja kita, selamat bertakhta, yet you say that
we the other races should respect Malay sovereignty?

What else do you want Mahthir from us the other races' before you accept
ALL of us as truly Malayians?

WHY IS SUZUKI CUP A NON STARTER?

This post is in respond to a reader who felt that the Suzuki Cup that Malaysia
won recently was 'significant' where I say otherwise.

In any sport, the ULTIMATE aim for an athlete is participating in the pinnacle
tournament, so in this instance, every footballer (everywhere in the world)
must have this dream of playing in a World Cup!
Get it?
Then of course, not every player could get the chance of playing in
the world cup but at least if players try their level best, they definitely become
better players. So if not the world cup then maybe the European Cup or the
Asian Cup.

Just look at Nicol David a World Champion in squash many times over and
she can retire today with her head high up as she had reached the pinnacle.

So Malaysians winning the Suzuki Cup was nothing really to shout about
if you'll to consider the millions that the government had dumped in, the
decline standard in years. Just winning a Suzuki Cup doesn't warrant any
big rewards or Datukship for the football players or coaches.

What is Suzuki Cup compare to the World Cup or for that matter the Asian
Cup? We should be rubbing shoulders with players from South Korea, Japan
or China becoz we were at one time more superior to South Korea or Japan
as far as soccer in Malaysia is concerned. Go and ask Santokh Singh or Soh
Chin Aun.

Yes, Malaysia won the Suzuki Cup but let's move on. No fanfare or blowing
our own trumpets becos we still have a long long way to go.

DAMMIT!
I reckon we are 15-20 years behind time before we're able to catch
up with the likes of South Korea.

WHERE IS DATUK RAJAGOPAL?

When I first read the news that Rajagopal the national football coach getting
a Datukship award in conjunction with FT's Day, I was rather surprised that
a coach could be conferred a Datukship title for winning such a small
insignificant football championship like the Tiger's Cup or rather they're calling
it as AFF Suzuki Cup 2010.

But you know what? Either fortunately or otherwise, the Star yesterday
reported that they had made a blunder.

In our article (The Star, Feb 1) about recipients of awards
and medals in conjunction with Federal Territories Day, we inadvertently named national football coach
K.
Rajagopal as among those conferred the Datukship
title.
It has been pointed out to us that Rajagopal was
not among the recipients. We sincerely apologise to him
for any embarrassment caused.

Wondering if big media like THE STAR publish reports based on reliable
sources or just shoot off from their mouths!

GONG XI FA CAI!
