WHERE IS DATUK RAJAGOPAL?

When I first read the news that Rajagopal the national football coach getting
a Datukship award in conjunction with FT's Day, I was rather surprised that
a coach could be conferred a Datukship title for winning such a small
insignificant football championship like the Tiger's Cup or rather they're calling
it as AFF Suzuki Cup 2010.

But you know what? Either fortunately or otherwise, the Star yesterday
reported that they had made a blunder.

In our article (The Star, Feb 1) about recipients of awards
and medals in conjunction with Federal Territories Day, we inadvertently named national football coach
K.
Rajagopal as among those conferred the Datukship
title.
It has been pointed out to us that Rajagopal was
not among the recipients. We sincerely apologise to him
for any embarrassment caused.

Wondering if big media like THE STAR publish reports based on reliable
sources or just shoot off from their mouths!

GONG XI FA CAI!
